While other homicides and serious assaults have been solved in the city, the Lansing Police Department has turned the investigation of the murders of two young adults in their Glasgow Street home to the Michigan State Police. The murders in late March shocked this southwest side neighborhood where there are quiet tree-lined streets with a mixture of young families to retirees.
LPD Captain Mike Yankowski said the case was turned over to the State Police to allow his department to more effectively use their resources. He did not share details about the investigation or additional details about why the investigation was not kept with the local department. CLICK ON THE VIDEO ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THIS HOMEPAGE.
Since the double homicide there has been no details provided residents about what happened nor have any arrests been made. Here’s video taken as police were investigating the scene.
