Have city of Lansing’s skyrocketing home invasions affected your life?

by Wes Thorp on July 13, 2010

What have you done different because of the city of Lansing’s skyrocketing home invasion rate which saw an almost 12 percent increase during the first six months of this year.

Reporter Darren Cunningham of WLNS.com  reported that “police recorded 573 breaking and enterings (for the first six months of last year). For January to June of this year, that number jumped to 640.”

Has this sharp spike affected your daily living?  Have you recently installed a burglar alarm?  Has the Lansing Police Department been helpful?  Were the thieves caught.

Does anybody know if the increased number of burglaries were spread across the city or concentrated in one part?
