Lansing police officer injured this a.m. during standoff on 2300 block of Tecumseh Drive

by Wes Thorp on June 30, 2010

Bill Castanier lives on Tecumseh River Drive in Lansing and found himself this morning watching a police standoff this morning where one officer was injured. At one point around 9 a.m., he writes there were as many as 14 police cars in this normally very quiet neighborhood and right across from a children’s playground.

Castanier, a principal in the blog LansingOnlineNews.com, recounts the experience in this post. By 11:30 a.m., the street was back to normal.
