Lansing’s City Hall will lose 69 employees, including 11 police officers to early retirement.  This is one of the moves taken to balance the city’s budget which has suffered from dramatically declining revenues.

Here’s details from a story by WLNS.com reporter Stephanie Kolp.

The story says:

Nearly 70 Lansing city workers will retire and the positions won’t be filled. The deadline for workers to take an early retirement buyout package has come and gone. The city of Lansing just got done crunching the numbers. 69 city workers will take Lansing’s retirement buyout.
