UPDATE: This WLNS.com story provides additional details about how the four gunman burst into the home and then committed the robber.
Read this Lansing State Journal story about an armed robbery in a home on the 3200 block of Norwich Drive on the city of Lansing’s southwest side. It happened very late last night in a usually very quiet and safe neighborhood. What points need to be made and what questions should be asked as a result?
- The Lansing Police Department captured the four who allegedly committed the robbery within a short period of time. They spotted the get-away car, stopped it and arrested all four. The officers all deserve real “at-a-boys” from residents.
- The Lansing State Journal wrote a reasonably complete and timely story about the crime which gave readers sufficient details to keep them informed. I think the LSJ.com needs to be called out and encouraged for good reporting. They are key players in keeping a livable and workable community.
- What will the Ingham County Prosecutor’s office charge the suspects with and will the charge be commensurate with the crime that was committed?
- Will the LSJ.com do follow-up stories on what happens with the suspects and more details about the robbery?
Does anybody have other questions or comments about crime in Lansing? Do you still feel safe in the city?
