Tonight the Lansing City Council will hold a public hearing on the city’s budget for 2010-11 and you can now watch it on your computer. It will be shown on ustream.com where you can watch and also participate in an online conversation about the proceedings. Click here at 7 p.m. to watch the meeting.
The other options are to go to City Hall and watch it in person or watch it on Comcast’s Channel 12.
The public hearing is especially important because Mayor Virg Bernero’s proposed budget would reduce the work week for most City Hall employees to four days, combine functions within two different departments and dramatically reduce manpower and budget for the police and fire department.
