This is worth marking on your calendar: The Lansing City Market will have its Grand Opening from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 25 and the occasion will be celebrated with a big party at the new river side facility.
The market has been open for a few months with the much of the new retail space still unfinished. Its construction has been the subject of much controversy with many wanting to keep the old historic market while others maintaining that the new market was key to continued downtown development.
