I’ve mentioned before about how little attention is paid to the business of the Ingham County government. County Commissioner Andy Schor is continuing his effort to help keep us more informed with his second blog post.
In it, he writes about several topics, including an improved credit rating for the county which means that it pays less interest on bond money. Other topics include, the county’s hiring of a consultant to help the commission deal with less jail space, while need increases to monitor those who go through the criminal justice system.
A suggestion:
Click on his blog and leave a comment. If you’re not familiar, then look around his blog post for a link to comments. Affirm him in his effort and let him know if you have questions or concerns. Let him know and this is a good way to do it.
His effort needs to be duplicated by other members of the county commission. Their efforts touch people’s everyday lives. You pay the bill, so you need to be informed and you need to react.
