UPDATE: Nixle gave the all clear with this-Tuesday March 23, 2010 7:18 PM EDT–I496 has all been cleared up.
The Nixle emergency notification team has issued an alert about the shutdown of I-496 between Pennsylvania and Walnut in both directions because of accidents. Traffic is being asked to avoid the area.
