Here’s a “Smile For Lansing” on this Monday a.m.

by Wes Thorp on March 22, 2010

It no secret that the Lansing School District has been losing students and closing down schools.  Like other Michigan cities, this has been happening for a while.

What’s happening to these closed school buildings here in our state’s capital city?  They’ve become an incubator for several high-tech companies.  Look at this story from the magazine Next American City that describes how these buildings are being recycled.

It sounds pretty positive.  You have permission to “Smile For Lansing” on this Monday morning when even the sun’s out.  Thanks to a local activist, Rory Neuner, for tweeting about the story.
