A few days ago, I shared a YouTube video about Lansing’s Sugar Shack at 2315 E. Grand River Ave., next to the Marathon Station, a bakery that specializes in gourmet cupcakes.
Today, superwife and I took a field trip there where we purchased the flavor of the month, Minty Irishman, or something like that.
We split one knowing that we would have to record it for Weight Watchers Online which allows us to eat such treats. When we got home and ate our individual halves, we were treated to a nuanced rainbow of minty flavors. The cake was extraordinary.
The whole taste experience made a repeat visit inevitable. They deliver too and their menu is online.

My wonderful husband surprised me with a SugarShack cupcake last night… My first as well. OMG, it was amazing!! The rich chocolate cake was so good it could stand on it;’s own without the need for frosting… But oh, the frosting! A deliciously smooth, decadent cream cheese frosting just put that cupcake over the top!
Now that I know just how great they are, (and they deliver!), I’m not sure my wallet or waistline can handle it!
