I’m going to miss Oldsmobile Park in downtown where the Lansing Lugnuts play minor league baseball. It was a constant reminder of the car company that put our city on the map.
Now, according to the Lansing State Journal, it will be called the Thomas M. Cooley Law School Stadium, the nation’s biggest law school with more than 3,000 students.
I wonder how many locals will continue calling our local ballpark by its original name both out of habit and out of respect for a once world famous car brand.
