I’m excited about the prospects of becoming a regular listener to TalkLansing.net over my computer. It has the potential to take local radio here in Michigan to a new level.
One of its co-founders, Walt Sorg, is an old friend who I know well and who I respect as a person and for his work in the media. He has tons to offer our area which needs an agent to pull it and its different voices together. But, I wasn’t able to bring up its streaming feed on my MacBook Air on either the Firefox or Chrome browsers. I will continue trying.
Did anybody hear the inaugural broadcast this morning? Reaction?

I have been listening on my Windows PC using IE. I didn’t have luck with Chrome, but didn’t really spend any time trying to figure it out. I haven’t been able to figure out how to listen from my phone – which is also Windows based.
I heard some of Walt’s show since I was a part of it and I was actually in the studio for that. I also heard some of the rest of the morning. I am really looking forward to a full day of local programming – and not on AM radio!
