Lansing's Potter Park Zoo on Twitter

Did you know that the Potter Park Zoo in Lansing has mousebirds?  I didn’t.  But I learned they’re out in the birdhouse at the zoo and pictures will be online today.

I learned this because I’m part of the zoo’s Twitter group. Lansing has an impressive network of tweeters where information is passed on a real time basis.  It’s worth checking out.

Wikipedia describes mousebirds and their affinity to stick to themselves and not associate with other bird groups.

How many different kinds of birds does Potter Park Zoo have?  How many of you have seen it?  Is it worth checking out?
