Local entertainment columnist Mike Hughes writes about TalkLansing.net

Local entertainment columnist Mike Hughes  writes today about TalkRadio.net, our area’s newest offering in talk radio and about how Walt Sorg and his partners will bring radio news to a new level in mid-Michigan.

He also writes about how the change has affected WILS where Sorg was the host of amLansing, which established itself as an information source for the area with Sorg’s business partner in TalkLansing.net, Chris Holman.

The change to a new format and to web-based radio is a leap of faith for Sorg, Holman and the third business partner Jim Fordyce.  It’s a new place to listen with an audience that’s more uncertain, but, nevertheless, out there looking for new information sources about local happenings and people.

TalkLansing.net is scheduled to start on Feb. 15.  I’m excited and my computer will be on and I’ll be listening when they start at 6 a.m.

Hello!

Yes, we’re all excited about TalkLansing.net, but may I point out that Lansing (and, indeed, all of Michigan), will soon gain a second online radio station: MIentertainment Radio. Officially debuting on March 1, MIentertainment Radio (log on to http://www.MIentertainment.biz) is owned by Jim Fordyce, and his partners: local author Kevin Hile and radio personality Tony Burke. They will be offering a 24/7 line-up of entertaining talk shows and special interest programming. Check out their website at http://www.MIentertainment.biz for a preview!
