Lansing UAW leader Brian Fredline is optimistic about GM prospects for 2010

General Motors used to dominate the Lansing-area.  It was a fixture in the local economy with assembly plants dotting the geographic corners of the metropolitan-area.

What are the prospect for auto jobs as we get into the new year?

Brian Fredline, the head of UAW Local 602, feels optimistic about auto jobs in the area going on an upswing, according to this Lansing State Journal story. He points to the addition of a third shift at the GM assembly plant in Delta Township and all the jobs that come with it.
