Southside Lansing (MI) residents expressed concern Saturday about construction and opening of a new liquor store at the northeast  corner of Martin Luther King and Holmes.

The issue came up during Third Ward Council-member A’Lynne Robinson’s monthly “Second Saturday” meeting with constituents.  The meeting was held in a meeting room of the yet-to-be opened Southside Community Center where about 30 people shared concerns and asked questions aobut city issues.

In this video, Council-member Robinson discusses issues revolving around the new liquor store and shares what concerned residents can do to show their opposition.

Wes & Gladys,

This is an excellent example of neighborhood advocacy. I’m glad that you are both taking a role in making a difference in your neighborhood.
